ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN -
Geomation is a Golden, Colorado–based manufacturer of electronic instrumentation products and systems for field monitoring and data acquisition applications. Our customers include large industrial concerns, government agencies, and electric, water supply, and water reclamation utilities. Applications for Geomation equipment range from dam safety, to landslide monitoring, tunnel and civil construction monitoring, and environmental monitoring. We have an immediate opening for an Electronic Engineering Technician with a strong work ethic, effective written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work well in a cooperative team environment.
A primary responsibility will be product test, calibration, and repair service, requiring effective communication with customers, and the diagnosis of customer problems over the telephone. Customer repair service responsibilities include performing return-to-factory repairs, along with collecting, organizing, and analyzing failure data. Primary responsibilities also include in-house and on-site training of customers on equipment maintenance and repair.
Additional responsibilities include the development and formal documentation of production test and calibration procedures for electronic assemblies and sub-assemblies. Occasional domestic and international travel in support of field installation and system integration services is also anticipated as system-level knowledge is gained.
The successful candidate must understand linear and digital electronic component functions, salient characteristics, and their application and purpose in practical circuits. Experience with electronic test equipment for troubleshooting microprocessor-based systems is required. Understanding of instrumentation techniques and practical physical measurement devices is an important requirement. Analytical and time management skills are essential to effective job performance.
